A recovery just south of Fairfield, and well east of Ottumwa seems likely.

Surface weather looks beautiful with mostly clear skies, unseasonably low temperatures, and minimal chances of rain. There is still a chance of rain overnight on Friday, which means that the fields could potentially be muddy.

Winds have picked up a bit, but otherwise identical to yesterday.

The surface weather in Pella on Saturday is still very favorable with low temps and minimal chances of rain during the day. There is a decent chance of rain Friday night/Saturday morning, so it could be a muddy recovery.

We're tending to stablize on a southeast track towards Fairfield, IA. The distance has stretched out slightly to 61 miles, but still very simliar to the past days.

Surface weather in Pella on Saturday is still showing a small chance of rain, but overall partly cloudy with low surface winds. The high for Saturday is in the low 80'sF.

We're shifting back south a little bit, and the overall length of chase has extended to about 56 miles east-southeast..

The direction shifted fairly dramatically to the north now that the GFS 0-240 model is valid for next weekend's flights. The overall chase distance still remains around 20 miles.
