Missouri River Energy Hydroelectric Generating Facility Tour

Tour Requirements: Must be able to climb stairs to multiple levels. Long Pants (no shorts) and closed toe (no sandals) are required.

Photos are permitted, and bring your water bottle.

Directions:

From the town square:

1. Head south on either Main Street or Broadway St
2. Turn west on University St.
3. Continue to head west on University. It will curve to the south-west and become Idaho Dr.
4. Continue on Idaho Dr until you get to 198th PL.
5. Turn Left on 198th Pl. There is a Conoco gas station on this corner.
6. Continue on 198th Pl. You will go down a long hill and cross a small bridge near the bottom.
7. Turn right on 216th Pl. There is a large maintenance building at this corner. If you miss your turn you will go to the campground. If you see the campground, TURN AROUND!
8. 216th Pl. will curve to the left. Soon after the curve you will see the generation house. Head up the road to the right for parking at the top.

OPA's Barn Tour

Directions:

From the town square:

1. Head west on Washington St. for about 3 miles
2. You will go past the Highway 163 interchange
3. There is a Chick -Fil- A restaurant about 2 miles west of the square
4. Opa’s Barn will be about 2 mile past the Chick-Fil-A
5. Look for a red barn on the right side of the road
6. Parking is limited, please car pool if you can.

Thursday Dinner

Experience Traditional Midwest Style Thursday in the Park Get together. Find dinner at one of the many food trucks on the Town Square or restaurants around the square.

Wander around various displays and entertainment on the Tulip Toren. 8:00 PM Weekly City Band Concert on the Tulip Toren. Look for PENS one and only Jim Emmert, WB0URW as he entertains the audience on the drums!!

3. The Science Center is on the corner of NE corner West 3rd St and University St.
4. Parking is limited at the Science Center. Please park a few block to the east on the south side of University or one block west near the corner of University and west 4th St.
